Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Information
In 2008, Congress passed the Secure and Fair Enforcement Act (SAFE Act). The purpose of this act was to provide protection for consumers when applying for a home loan. This act requires financial institutions that engage in residential mortgage lending, along with their mortgage loan originators, to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)prior to originating any mortgage loans.
As a result of the registration process, the bank and each of our mortgage loan originators have been assigned a unique NMLS#. This number can be used by consumers to access specific information on the NMLS website about mortgage providers or mortgage loan originators.
